Paramount Lighting was established in the spring of 2001 as an extension of Christmas Décor, which originally began operations in 1999. With a focus on innovation, Paramount introduced landscaping and architectural lighting to the Fargo-Moorhead (FM) area, a service that was previously unavailable in the region. As a proud NILLA-certified company (National Institute of Landscape Lighting Association), Paramount Lighting has consistently maintained the highest standards of quality and professionalism. At the time, most scenery and landscaping companies offering lighting services lacked certification, giving Paramount a clear competitive edge. This commitment to excellence helped establish what is now considered the industry standard for landscape lighting in the region.

In 2014, Paramount Lighting expanded its services by introducing a dedicated scenery division specializing in full-service landscaping. This addition allowed the company to offer comprehensive solutions for outdoor spaces, seamlessly integrating expert lighting design with high-quality landscaping services.
